Missed Period but no pregnancy?

My wife has missed her period but she is not pregnant. Can anyone tell me why that?

birth control can make periods skip, could also be stress. If she has abdominal pains may be worth checking for endometriosis it's very common.

she should probably go to the doctor, a lot of things can cause that and not getting help for most of those things can cause long term damage

edit: unless it's just her birth control doing it

Stress, bad diet, issues with her reproductive organs, lack of nutrition, underweight. The list goes on lol

Stress. Some sort of hormone imbalance. A medical issue that needs attention.
