Have you ever heard of delirium tremens?

My gf's mother is suffering this at the doctor's best guess. Alcohol withdrawals. I'd never heard of it before, but it can be fatal! 25% fatality rate without treatment. Fortunately only 2% with it. It's some scary stuff...

DT's are a very common sign of withdrawal. Alcohol withdrawal is considered the most dangerous as it leads to death more often than any other kind of withdrawal. It's not the tremors that will kill you but the seizures and organ failure.

I know there are tremors from not having alcohol. My husband is an alcaholic snd had them on quitting. They stopped.

Yes. My sister went through it about 15 years ago. We thought we were going to lose her. She finally stopped drinking, though. 😔
