What can you do to shorten a cold? I haven't had one in so long I've forgotten.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales I have hot water running down my lip, and I can't take the antihistamines because they seem to cause severe congestion.

@4meAndyou as I said, there's no cure.

If you want, search in google . Basically cold is caused by dozens of different viruses . It's impossibly hard to diagnose the virus and create a new drug to solve the problem.

But all it takes is a few days for it to go away. So there's no motivation to create a solution for cold.

@Shannon27 No problem. I can hardly breathe. I just tried to unwind the cat's yarn ball from the bottom of my office chair and I am out of breath and feel ill.

@Rosejilly Don't have any wine or booze in the house. And all I have in the house for meds is Thera Flu. I took a full dose the other night and felt like I was on the Magical Mystery Tour. Had to rush to bed before I keeled over.

@ProfessorPlum77 I will have it on hand if this ever happens again. THEN a friend just told me that CVS drug store has a sign in the window saying that they have the new cold CURE in stock.
