Does anyone get nervous about having a mammogram ?

I have one tomorrow. Last year, I had a breast cancer scare. It ended up being nothing thank goodness. But, you just never know.

All the time, but my dentist assures me it's standard practice.

My wife had one done on a Tuesday once. Apparently calling it 'pancake Tuesday' isn`t amusing. 🤷‍♂️

There are other, safer ways to screen for breast cancer that are more accurate. I get a thermogram done one my breasts. It measures the heat of your breasts. As cancer cells rapidly reproduce, they put off a higher heat signature. The thermogrsm picks up that heat and can pinpoint where cancer cells are replicating long before the images can be seen on a mammogram

@1pebbles that actually sounds like a much better way. It also seems more accurate. Thanks for posting this info.☺

@Indy74 don’t let them shoot radiation thru your breast! We’re taught that radiation can stimulate unrestricted cell growth! Duh! Cancer!

Sometimes I do. There is a history in my family of breast cancer and that is super uncomfortable too. It is better to know exactly what is going on. Best of Luck! 🤗🍀

My mom just had one recently. She has a benign tumour. She had one an year ago and dr was suspicious about a tumour but messed up with the report so she had to wait for an year to undrrgo another mamogram. Thankfully it was benign.
So if you had one last year and you dont have any symptoms in sure this time again result will come out normal

@Focused I hope so. Thank you so much!!😀 I'm just glad that your mom is okay.

Yes ..... No one wants breast cancer...
Indy74 · 46-50, F
@masterofyou I've had several friends develop breast cancer, two have already past because of it. It just scares me. I did have a mammogram a few weeks ago and it turned out fine, no issues.
