We seriously need to get a handle on all these pseudoscience bullshit health remedies.

There's obviously the human cost but we could also be saving all these endangered animals that are poached and trafficked because idiots believe that grinding up this or that part of their bodies will give them super boners or cancer immunity.

People won't stop believing this kind of stuff. If it's natural and not cooked up in a government approved pharmaceutical lab, than apparently that's better. Probably the same people that believe vaccines are deadly.
@Pikachu that would be a big win. I guess awareness and education is the best thing we can do.
@GuyThatEvery1Seems2Hate

It's working in some areas. I know that for instance homeopathy has been taken off the NHS in the UK.

But traditional chinese medicine sure causes a lot of problems.
@Pikachu I could imagine it would.

I'm a little bit militant around pseudo science, I think there should be 10 years prison time for people who hunt endangered animals for the sake of selling a placebo. With every day products there should be heavy regulation as many placebo "miracle cures" say they can cure cancer, I think that they shouldn't be allowed to say those claims.
@SatanBurger

I'm with you on that. The needless extermination of vulnerable species coupled with flogging ineffective modalities to vulnerable people...yeah , deserves a stiff sentence.

@RippinKlouds

It's pretty disgusting. But that's sociopaths for you.

They seriously make too much money. It's like fighting the hydra of Greek mythology, cut off one head and two more take its place.

There would need to be a worldwide public campaign to demonize these "miracle cures" and "remedies" to even make a dent.

It's something i observed though, most stupid idiots who follow these cures dont even try to get facts.

Even though I was born into a medical family I don't believe in medicine or anything strange grinded up except good nutrition, exercise, and low stress for health. Animals and nature need to be protected.

They should try tabasco in the eye instead.
@Faust76

If only. But it's not rare or endangered enough to convince people that it works.
