Trigger warning!

This is from 5 days ago. The really bad looking one opened back up. Should I get over my fear and go to the doctor tomorrow (if possible).
Learn to love yourself enough to want to stop hurting your body.

None of those look infected. Keep them clean.

@jetpack I know it doesn't look infected but it opened back up.
I have a friend that feels compelled to hurt herself. She uses a rubber band around her wrist. Snaps it when she feels the need and also uses a pen to write on herself in place of scars. She told me it was always in her power to make the change. To be the change. I think her past haunts her but she has faced those fears . I wish you the same courage as her. I know it was hard and it will be hard for you.

@jetpack I've tried the rubber band but it was one of many alternatives that didn't help

They’re basically cat scratches, I don’t see any fatty tissue or bleeding so none of the cuts are going past the dermis. Keep it clean and bandaged. If you have antibiotic ointment use a bit of that. Wash the wound with soap and warm water and change the bandage every day and you’ll be fine. The cuts are pretty minor.
@TheLastPlague Thanks Dr. Know It All --

@MarmeeMarch Yeah I forgot being able to self-treat minor cuts and scrapes is forbidden knowledge only taught by wizards in medical school. Calm your ‘tism.
@TheLastPlague Oh I self treat myself - but I am smart enough not to spout off some general medical advice - suppose she is allergic to something that you dont know of. Keeping it clean of course is just common sense.

Yeah you're probably at risk of infection at this point.

Just be honest with your doctor. "I'm doing my best, I had a relapse, I'm worried about infection. What should I do, please keep this confidential."
fluteacorn · 22-25, F
@CountScrofula I can't drive though...
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@fluteacorn Do you have a friend who can take you or public transit you can use?

What is it?

@SW-User Thank God I didn't do it many times. It was just one time. But it's not my thing. At this moment I can't afford to try such things. I believe in trying good things in life. 🙂
@fluteacorn ever try jogging or punching a punching bag , squeezing one of those stress relief balls ? -
fluteacorn · 22-25, F
@MarmeeMarch yes, no, yes
EmeraldOdinelle · 22-25, F
No just use some germaline if you’re that worried
fluteacorn · 22-25, F
@EmeraldOdinelle never heard of it
@fluteacorn like neosporin
Effloresce · 26-30, F
Yes please go to the doctor
Lostpoet · M
Yes, of course you should. 😠
I have read that the financer to the guy that discovered King Tut's tomb, Lord Carnarvon nicked himself while shaving, it got infected - he caught pneumonia and died. Just a little FYI.

Stop cutting yourself. It can leave bad affects on the skin. Did you apply any ointment yet? Go to doctor.
fluteacorn · 22-25, F
@SW-User I put Neosporin on many times
SW-User
@fluteacorn you should go to a doctor. Also don't self harm. It's not a good thing. You can get friends to share your problems here.
LokiBecky · 18-21, F
Wounds do that, going to the doctor won’t change that
