If you research a medical procedure (from different sources) and you often see something like:

"Its effective treatment, but how it works is still unknown."
"It 馃憦just馃憦 works馃憦"

What would you're opinion be?

I spent a long time in medical research and we do generally know why something works, but not always. Things are usually tested for five years on humans (after animal tests) before getting to market, and it can be an ethical dilemma to release something that appears safe but that you don't understand.

@GlassDog And sometimes things that do work and already understood and well tested are held back for profit purposes to continue marketing the previous product.

@Miram I'm not going to get into some of the specifics that I know about (pharmacorps can be very litigious) but yes. It's a tricky one where profit competes against saving lives.
It's work right? That's enough for me, i'll take it
