Do you believe in a spiritual/holistic approach to anxiety, depression, and the like or more of a medicinal approach?

Carazaa · F
I believe in SSRI anti depressant can be great for a few months. But I think good nutrition and exercise has been proven the best for almost all diseases.

@Carazaa and getting out in nature on a regular basis, having hobbies and having positive people in your life as well.
Carazaa · F
@cherokeepatti agree🤗

Anything but meds. I need to lay it down somewhere, not cover it up.
That sounds kind of spirirual/holistic. I never thought about it.

I think meds are most often little to now help. I do like sometimes we know our bodies far better then what any test tells us.

very much so i believe such things are best cured with the right person ti talk and guide you
FORMERLYbatovn · 56-60, M
@SW-User If the person is serious about taking advise and accepting the help I agree totally with you!
Carazaa · F
Yes I believe in good nutrition, exercise, and a peaceful life with loving people.😉

The first, seems like medications are making people suicidal.

I try natural cures first, doctors as a last resort.
Personally I prefer medicinal.
I wish the holistic approach was more effective with me.

@TwiddlerofThumbs life is just life... it's us who make it complex or simple.
@Unlearn Emotions create complexity. If I cared less about people it would help. If I would get over my fears, life would change. So yes, we do make life complex - but life in itself is complex, without the complexity of life itself we would be nothing more than rocks.
Unlearn · 41-45, M
@TwiddlerofThumbs that's one way to look at life...
summersong · F
It depends heavily on the person in question and how their particular symptoms manifest and affect their life.
Elessar · 26-30, M
No. Both of those are real illnesses, and as such require an adequate and real treatment.
As long as it’s incorporated with my meds and therapy.

More of a psychological/medicinal approach :)
Platoscave · F
Yes when appropriate, and often it is

Did modern science work for you?
MethDozer · M
To an extent. For the most part I think daily drug use should be a last resort.
