What can be done about cold sensitive teeth.

I got a new crown, back lower molar right side, and unless the food is room temperature I can't put it near that tooth. OMG it hurts. I'm ready to grab an ice skate and just pound it out!

I would urge you to talk with your dentist. I had a similar problem and the dentist had to file (whatever it's called) my tooth (that remains under the crown) down more. It was horrible. Tooth pain is the worst. ☹

Your tooth shouldn't hurt! Did you have a root canal on that tooth before the crown or just the crown? Orajel or anbesol will work, but call your dentist asap!

Sensodyne toothpaste can help.

Use Sensodyne
It takes a few days for a new crown to settle down. Even afterwards, I have found that the tooth is still more sensitive. I use Sensodyne twice daily,
