For those who workout: how do you keep yourself motivated?

I get bored so easily. Music doesn’t help me
SW-User
I listen to podcasts about things I'm interested in so I'm learning something instead of just focusing on how much longer I have to go the entire time. It makes the hour go by a little more quickly.

I also do a lot of HIIT and switch up what kinds of exercises I'm doing pretty frequently so I'm constantly moving around in different ways. I hate routines.

If I have a bad day where I don't want to get out at all, I have a set work out that's boring but makes me feel less lazy to fall back on that I do no matter what. Usually just basic cardio like cycling or something.

@SW-User that’s probably what I need. And I’ll have to try changing my routine
Change up your routine.

Cardio machines for example are boring as hell

For me, I suck at going to the gym and just working out, I have done much, much better as a team, group or game.

So working out for me is best when I was in sports or had a manual labor job... which I did until this week, which I transferred to a professional world job... not sure what I'm gonna do now.

Someone suggested looking into CrossFit gyms...

I want to keep my great shape.
You will see results in your body. It does change over time.
You will get muscle mass and lose fat.
Also, you get fitter/healthier.

If it's jogging or running your lung capacity changes.
You can DO more and better.

That's REAL.

Sometimes I would indulge in a higher than normal calorie meal. From that I'd be driven by the guilt I felt afterwards.

Think of how dumb you'd look with a big belly and a double chin.

@Universeoflove haha you I’ll think about that next time I workout

@Jenni7 even at my age I think about things like that and I also like to be physically capable. Obviously there are also health benefits from regular exercise.

It’s hard sometimes but for me I tell myself that I feel so much better when I exercise. That’s enough for me

A good routine. Go just before work or school or right after.
