Can whiskey really cure a sore throat?
My dad says it will. His throat has been sore and he drank whiskey and then he went and got in his bed because he can't stay awake

but the way I told you is an old time remedy my Grandma used for me ,all my kids had it too ,
honey by itself or even with lemon juice helps a sore throat .
I have heard of old timers drinking a few shots of whiskey and wrapping up in blankets to sweat a flue out .
I used it to walk when my back hurt so bad I could hardly walk without it
So I do know it can make you ignore what ails you
but can't testify it will cure you
