Has any woman here over the age of 30 noticed your hair changing in your 30s or later even?

I've got a fair bit of grey hair and noticed within the past year its gotten a bit dryer in texture. I eat healthy and exercise etc...just curious if other women had changes in their hair in their 30s, later in life, what your experience has been and some steps you might have taken to keeping it nice and healthy. Cheers!

I'm a guy and my hair started to go silver at that age. Ladies, please embrace your changing hair. Please don't dump chemicals on it. Some men truly appreciate you for who you are.

I use biotin and collagen based shampoo. I eat quite a bit of sugar free hello and I take biotin daily. I am 46 and been through treatments for health issues but right now my hair is very healthy and shiny.

I should add this addendum to my post; i failed to mention my question doesn't have so much to do with vanity as functionality. My hair is more prone to tangling now that its dryer. I welcome the process of aging; i would just love for my hair to retain some lustre; if i can do something to keep ir healthier i want to hear what other people do. Tangled hair doesn't work for me. Im way too busy.

@Brookeeboop amen. It's also important to keep the dry split ends cut.

Inevitably your hair and skin (not just wrinkles) will change
I eat a good diet, use good shampoos and condioners and go easy with face products only using those with evidence they work
Avoid heavy going products full of chemicals

My mom's hair changed like that after her pregnancies. But I have a cousin whose hair started getting gray at 25 (I'm talking about a man, I don't know if there's a difference). I think it can be hereditary.

I said wouldn't dye my hair because it's full of chemicals but I've actually been using a henna dye its made from a vegetable. I like it, it's just it has to sit on for hours.

i think that's we all fear getting old, wrinkly and grey 😢
Brookeeboop · 41-45, F
@newbie I'm not afraid...just looking for ways to keep my hair silky smoooooth 😸

@Brookeeboop well there is a whole section in walgrens for products for fixing grey and thinning hair. I'm sorry I dont know if any of it really works, but I guess you can try and see if some works for you! according to the advertising anyone can look beautiful even when getting old. I hope that's useful?

1 Start to skip a hair wash by a day, soon you'll wash less and use less chemicals
2 Try coconut oil, massage in before your wash, half an hour or more
3 Hair dyes do dry the hair

Yes, as we age, the hair drys out....

@SoFine just sounds like those hippies from the 70ies that refused to use deodorant or even shave their bodies ... 😖 can't imagine how those communes much have smelled back then 😱

well maybe I am a victim of the big bad hygiene industry, but even then I do prefer my hair shiny and clean - not greasy and sticky 🤢
SoFine · 46-50, F
@newbie after 30 in age, the hair drys out, then no greasy or sticky, just dry. Go to India, then you will really smell bodies.

@SoFine sounds disgusting there 😲 don't they bathe at all?

Goralski · 51-55, M
