Does anyone know why my muscles and joints hurt every time it rains?

sogdianrock · 61-69, M
hi PrettyTroubles
When it rains you are in a low pressure air system and the air is damp and probably cooler. These appear to trigger a pain reaction in you somehow. Maybe you just refer sunny days?

here:

Changes in barometric pressure can cause expansion and contraction of tendons, muscles, bones and scar tissues, resulting in pain in the tissues that are affected by arthritis. Low temperatures may also increase the thickness of joint fluids, making them stiffer and perhaps more sensitive to pain during movement.20 Jun 2017

@PrettyTroubles no but some people get those things at an early age so thats what i wondered :p
Up your intake of calcium and magnesium.

I have the same problem. The change in weather can definitely affect our bodies.

Could possibly be a touch of arthritis. Does it run in your family?
PrettyTroubles · 26-30, F
No the only thing that runs in the family is diabetes and neurofibromatosis@Zoranna

@PrettyTroubles I'd definitely see your doctor and get it checked out. A few simple blood tests are all that's needed, even if it's just to put your mind at rest.
sillysweetgirl · 26-30, F
Did you injure them somehow?
PrettyTroubles · 26-30, F
Not that I remember @sillysweetgirl
