I Find That the Grief Journey Is Lonely

A Soul in Remission
by: Rob Paquin

Slowly sinking like a setting sun
Beneath the horizon of hope
A rising tide of all that came before
Like an overwhelming wave of regret
It breaks upon the shores of time
The winds of change blow icily cold
Scouring the landscape's beliefs
And sweeping them free from their roots
The scene left barren and disfigured
Gnarled limbs sprawling outward
Reaching into the nothingness beyond it's leafless boughs.
All that once grew below; now expired
The soils, salted..., forevermore
No flower to ever follow
Irredeemable, and disconsolate

~The Snowdog
Your words leave me cold and it is Spring, R. Do you smile ever? Will you be like this forever? Questions...Hope this season brings you some sun more than that in the sky.

I think we've had that discussion before....
@HikingMan: We have. What will it cost for you to move forward? Or shall you blame yourself for eternity?
