I Love the Library

Haven't been in one in years, a shame really. The smell of aging paper, the stillnes and quiet. It really is a sanctuary from the hectic, distracted world we live in.
Funny you should say that. I've been thinking of going for those exact same reasons. I love it. The one in town now has a huge fireplace with a red leather couch in front of it. All the better. It also has lots of huge windows to enjoy what's going on outside, too.

L❤️VE our local library 💕

It surely will be a shame, if the current attempts to cut ALL government funding for public libraries succeed.

I just visited my own local public library yesterday, as I have often done throughout my life.

@SW-User Libraries offer so much culture, and people forget them sometimes as they feel the Internet offers the same; it can, without the culture and learning. Which gets at what the hub of a library is in community, connection

I was at one today and it was surprisingly busy

@Fallflower That's hopeful.
The smell of aging paper
....mmmm, one of my favorite scents. This post is all me too.😌🤓

I actually get an adrenaline rush there and at the bookstore.

I do love visiting them..a couple times a month. New DVDs , books, and QUIET lol.
Now who knows when we'll be able to go in again 😕

I just went and got a library card last week. 📚️Besides great books, you can get movies too for free. 🙂

Just now. They would have tablets on the shelf instead
