Toyota is boring but best all around for reliability. Next up would be Honda for the same. Avoid any vehicle with a CVT transmission. Most are garbage and will expensively fail. Fiat (and Chrysler who Fiat now owns) is positively terrible. Avoid like the plague. I would go Japanese before anything European and definitely before anything American. I am pro America but let鈥檚 face it, our automobiles suck. And now comes all the screaming detractors. Do your homework, don鈥檛 buy into the hype.

@arkod Iconic yes. And you actually still can buy one from a factory in Texas. But this is a car that would have been forgotten if it had not been for Back To The Future. The workmanship was dodgy at best, the engine underpowered, and gull wing doors look cool....until someone parks next to you and guess what? You can鈥檛 get in or out of the car! Hard pass unless you have money to burn.
