I Love Being Barefoot

My little one Eliza does very much so much. So on this cold, windy, rainy morning I had such a hard time getting her little bare feet into some shoes to no success I'll add!

She's been barefoot almost exclusively since April but now it's getting colder I'd like her to at least wear shoes to school even though I know the second she's inside off they will be and she will happily spend the day barefoot and come home barefoot too.

So I compromised and tonight after school we will be going to buy some wellington boots ready for when the real cold sets in.

Bless her 😊 Going barefoot in colder weather is marvellous for boosting the immune system and keeping away annoying coughs and colds. But wellies can be great fun, especially if they are purple 🙂

@GentleLucille Going barefoot in cold weather is marvellous agreed and yes it helps boost the immune system. Eliza is still barefoot we never did buy them wellington boots. Maybe next month I think when it really is cold.

You guys are very fortunate that they are allowed to go to school barefoot. Many of our parents or grandparents went to school barefoot here in the states, but there's no way that would happen these days.

When our son was younger, he got away from the house a few times at the beginning of the school year and walked to school barefoot. I'd get a call from the office to bring him some shoes. I'd have to put clothes on, and take his flip-flops up there. Of course I walked into the school office barefoot to hand them over.

Do many of the kids go to school barefoot like your daughter?

Once home from work, it's barefoot. At work shoes are off during the day while I'm at my desk.
