I'll Tell You My Opinion

There's a lot of pressure on women to from all angles to look a certain way, or achieve a certain body type.

Wether it be the fitness look with the lean abs, sculpted arms, lifted round booty. Or to have that thick look with a big ol booty, relatively small waist, and round hips. Or anything on the fringes or in between...

Often wether consciously, or sub consciously, this is geared around pleasing men or being attractive to men.

But our bodies are not for men. Our bodies belong to us. If a woman chooses to share her body with a man that is a gift and not a given. Personally I like men like I like cake 🎂 😉 But in my opinion, all our attitudes need to change. It's a subtle mindset that exists in our society but no matter how subtle or insignificant it seems, it is still present. Normally I'd speak as objectively as possible and talk simply as a human, but for this post I speak as a half white, half hispanic woman who has witnessed this type of mindset first hand many times in my life.

So girlfriend, get that body that you like to wake up to everyday, and any man that is worth having in your life will appreciate whatever physique you have. But you can't expect a man (or woman) to treat you with love and respect if you don't love and respect yourself.

Love is a universal value. It belongs to all races, all genders, all religions, and all body types. That includes you babe 😘

Women judge each other way more than us guy's do
Serenitree · F
@Cream2Hott: do they still do that?

I don't really pay much attention. I live in a seniors retirement apartment building. The only women I take the time to notice are either elderly or my family.

My kids and grandkids wear very little makeup. Three of my daughters wear none, and although my granddaughter's do, their makeup is subtle. It's almost a does she or doesn't she look. They are the daughters of my one daughter who wears makeup, and she has always had a very light touch.

@Serenitree: Often I think it's from being insecure.. trying to hide so to speak

@Cream2Hott: oh, yeah, I suppose.

Men select women for breeding based on appearance. I have no problem with this because it makes for a healthier species. I do object to all the unnecessary surgeries. This is bad for the species.

@Peekaboo: yea that part is fine, I wouldn't want a men to end up with someone he isn't physically attracted to. And I'm not against surgeries and stuff as long as it's about the woman wanting to be happy in the body that she chooses rather than about trying to please other people
you are so right society puts o much pressure on girls to look like model unacheivable standards by hollywood big breast firm round booty long lean legs small waist ect i could go on but at the end of the day you deserve to lie in bed and tell your self my body is beautiful and may not be prefect but i am me and that is okay no one and i mean no one should tell some one else how she should look her boddy her choice! i agree a 100 5 amen sista coming form a Male to Female trans woman talk about pressure but one day at a time

I haven't met a woman who's totally fine with her looks.
LionsLair · 26-30, F
@Reject: they're super rare

@ChickenWingFreak: I admire them. Wherever they are. Being better than society like that. 🙂

I never felt this was relevant. I feel very distant from pretty much every "issue" everyone wants to talk about… I guess I'll just be on my way now, not giving a damn anything.

@SpicyAnnieH: nicee! 😎

I find that sadly women are being pressured more than ever to dress and have bodies that look hot for men.
FearfulHarmony49 · 22-25, T
@JimboSaturn: It's almost entirely pressure from other women.
FearfulHarmony49 · 22-25, T
One thing I will say about this is that it always seems as though any pressure to dress and look sexy comes from other women.

Preach on. Couldn't agree more.

I think we need to start trying to get to know people interested of letting the other person do all the talking and asking.
LionsLair · 26-30, F
@louisesoulstar: oh what do you mean?
