There is nothing wrong with being "cheap."

It's been the subject of scrutiny and laughter for years. I do not see any issue with living cheaply. Why spend money on something new when the old works just fine? I get jokes thrown my way for still using a 5 year old phone. What is so funny? It's paid off and it still works fine. My desktop is from 2008 and is just fine. If it works why just throw it out for something new? Makes zero sense to me.

I get told often will you ever get a new car. Not anytime soon as it still runs and is in good condition for the age of it. Why? It's paid off and runs fine. Why make more bills if it's not needed?

Clothes I keep forever and shoes until they fall apart. I can sew and use fabric dye if repairs are needed.

I water down a lot of things also. This was something my mother did and I have inherited her habits.

I don't go to the doctors either unless I absolutely have to. I never go unless something is truly going wrong. I try to avoid large medical bills. This is another thing my mother did. When I was a kid it was that way. Nobody went anywhere unless there was not a choice. No doctor, dentist or anything unless it was an emergency.

I try to fix a lot of things myself also or create makeshift solutions if I cannot fix it.

The only thing I do not skimp on is when it comes to my cats. They eat like kings and get regular vet care.
