I Love to See Old Married Couples Hold Hands

I met a couple last week who have been married 74 years - she is 91 and he is 93. She told me she is the boss and he agrees . They sat together with his arm around her . I asked what was their secret and they both said they liked to cook together . She then said that he was just a nice man .

They made me smile for the rest of the day .

Yesterday, at my neighbor's church ... a small country church ... I sat next to a couple that were in their late 80's.

I later had breakfast with them. Was told afterwards, the wife was heavily medicated, due to illness. Her husband, a lean fellow, maybe 5'9" ... just cared for her ... proud to be there with her ... holding her ... waiting on her.

Their love added to my day.

If I had known more of her illness then, I would have waited and helped them to the car.

They too made my day brighter.

As an aside ... was asked today how I enjoyed the church ... assured them I would return again ... lol ... but, when I do I would help show them how to liven up the sharing of the Peace!
