I Have Lost People I Love From Cancer

I never knew my dad, he was a sperm donor. I grew up with only my mother and countless partners she had. She had breast cancer when she died. When I finally did get a proper father figure, he was riddled with lymphoma. It ended up killing him about a year ago. I have never been the same since. And it makes it even harder now that my granddad is dying from a combo of leukemia and prostate cancer. It isn't a nice illness, and it takes so many lives. It is heartwrenching to see a family member/friend wither away to nothing and writhe in agony. It kills you inside. I hope one day we can be free of it.
