I Have No Problem With Interacial Relationships

In fact, I feel it's more romantic to marry someone from different nationality or culture. You both can add so much to the relationship because of your different backgrounds. It's exciting!

True. Exploring new dimensions of love and relationships are always exciting.
But the most challenging part of it is that at times we have to break the heart of our dear ones. It's easier said than done. However I agree to your point, challenges should not pull us down.
I'm in love with a Muslim girl. We both love each other very much. We don't have any problem in marrying each other. But same cannot be said about our parents. Her parents cannot accept their daughter marrying a non-Muslim. My parents are not that conservative. They don't mind me marrying a non-Hindu. But they have problems with me converting to a different religion.
This situation hurts. I am unable to make a right decision. We both love each other so much that it would be a sin not marrying her.
But then I will hurt my parents.
Right now I am trying to convince my parents that God is in our mind and it doesn't matter, which religion we belong to.
Ultimately I will marry my love, and I hope my parents will understand me.

@Madeleine Thank you very much.

@SW-User It’s as difficult for your parents to see you marry a Muslim as it is for her parents with her marrying a Hindu. Fair is fair. If she is not expected to change her religion, neither should you. And what about children? They’ll be raised Muslim. That would be non-negotiable with her devotion to her parents over you. Entering a marriage where your religion and heritage is regarded as lesser is awful for your parents. If she’s equally in love with you, then she should accept you as is. You’re not the problem here. Marriage is tough enough without these issues.

Agreed, it can have an added thrill. Although ultimately, it can also cause problems, where values, aspirations etc aren't shared. This can cause breakdowns and misunderstandings

@Madeleine lol not as often tho!.. different cultures can have different religions for a start - always a source of argument! Things like how to raise kids, to baptise or not, to allow girls freedom or not, to educate girls or not.. just a whole new set of things to disagree on, that are not necessarily present if you date within your own culture. Not saying it can't work, it can and does.. but just as often, perhaps more than that, it doesn't work..

@Adaydreambeliever True. What I meant is to marry someone from different culture, yet same religion 😉

@Madeleine Fair enough, yes it can be exciting, especially to move to another country..

As you know I'm an atheist Texan and my wife is Jewish from the Ukraine and it's been a pretty good marriage for a third of a century.
