I Love Anime and Manga
I finished reading "Vinland Saga: Book Seven". It's the end of the 3th arc in Vinland Saga. And I have to admit... It's been a blast.
If you have no idea what to get for Christmas and you like a good comic book series... Look at "Vinland Saga". It's published in English by "Kodansha Advanced Media", and it comes in a nice hard cover 2 manga in 1 book. It looks awesome on the shelf, and they are super affordable. The price of a hardcover is the price of 2 manga soft covers, so that's a nice return for your money.
The story is really well written. The artwork starts off a bit easy, but the artist gets a lot better at what he does. It starts off as a Shonen... but it's get way to bloody for that way to quickly. Characters are awesome [i](like seriously... WOW)[/i] and they develop really well over time. The main character is all over the place, but the development he goes trough feels real. It's not about the battles, it's not about the intrigue... but it's all in there annyway. It's all about the main character developing into an individual that can lives with his choices. And while doing so, he has some heart warming to down right heart breaking experiences with a bunch of other colorfull people that he meets along the way. On the background of his story, is this incredible political intrigue story of people questing for power. He hardly interacts with anny of it... but it's there, happening. Which is weird, but oh so good.
I think from all the comics I read, this is a really good one. If you like Manga. Check it out.
