I'm a mature Mexican American woman. My impression of what was shown to me about my culture was something I didn't want to aspire to. Mexico is a bad place to be a woman.

I know exactly what I'm talking about. Mexican movies aren't rated like ours are here. Women are portrayed in a negative way. Mexican men have a hold on the country with their machismo and violent sense of honor. Corruption isn't the way to go, much like other countries. Mexico is right beside us, and we're so divided.
I'm not talking about illegals. Find someone else to engage with that. Peace.
@soulsugar: Have you ever been there ? Speak the language ? Getting your reference from the way Americans portray Mexicans in movies is just wrong.
