I Like to Write Stuff

I've noticed as I've gotten older, I say less. Just a thought and an observation.

I notice the same. IRL, anyway. Well. No. Online, too, really. [Despite my ostensible verbosity] I think it's the slow realization that people simply cannot understand your point of view. At least, i can speak for myself. What's the point in talking when nothing you say will be really heard.

Of course, you can endeavor to navigate the choppy waters of quasi-manipulation, leading conversations and steering the other person's perspective via the Socratic Method: asking questions which double as subtle statements, causing. But, that is tiring, and of no real benefit to the one doing the steering.

Then, maybe humor becomes harder and harder to come by? Or you acquire more and more knowledge which subsequently means a higher tolerance to humor, meaning you need more unique humor than you did when you were younger. *shrug*
