That is very upsetting [I Can'T Stand Jokes About Autism And The Idiots Who Tell Them]

We have feelings too you know and I hate it when people treat autism as a joke or something.
SW-User
My daughter is on the spectrum it isn't a joke nor is it a pity party.
We love and respect her as is and who's to say it's such a bad thing? Just different.

@SW-User My daughter is too. High-functioning autism, she did well in math & sciences, music & art but socially she was very awkward socially. We didn’t know what autism was back then and one of her teachers told me that I needed to take her to the doctor and have her put on Ritalin. Which I would never do.

just block and ignore the pathetic users, Autism is real the sad part id if you had a broken arm they could see it and accept it, but mental health is a sad part of society that many people refuse to accept this

Don't listen to those people they are probably ignorant ❤️

The problem though is that the school system wants to get so many kids labeled as "autistic" that it is hard to take serious.

Kind of like how every other person claims to be bipolar or depressed or whatever.

Funny though, in the 80's, back problems was the big ailment to have but nowadays no one pretends to have them.

@CestManan I have back problems. Maybe you don’t know that many people who are older because a lot of people do.

For what it's worth, in my 69 years of life, I have never heard anyone joke about autism. Until I read your post, I didn't even know that autism jokes existed.

I just thought you would be happy to know that that garbage doesn't occur everywhere.
The only people I have heard make fun of autism are politicians.
I find the autistic interesting, I believe they are to intelligent to understand by the common masses and are in a different part of their mind, granting them access to a wonderful aspect of the world; it's just a shame they cannot come down from their height and explain it to us.
