I honestly don’t understand why people are so bent on hating Rap/Hip Hop. We get it, you don’t like the genre, that doesn’t mean it is meaningless or “not real music.”

I honestly hardly, if ever, see rap fans attacking other genres. I don’t like Bluegrass but I don’t go out of my way to tell the people who love bluegrass that their music taste sucks. If that’s what makes you happy, listen to it. If you don’t like rap, then stay in your own lane. No one is forcing you to listen lol
It being “meaningless” is very subjective. Who are you to tell someone what a song or artist means to them? People find a deep movement in gospel, while I feel nothing. Tbh when I’m feeling down or need a confidence boost, Rap is what got me going. So many songs and rappers music got me through some hard times. So to me, it has meaning.
Rap is popular all over the world. I lived in Poland and it was popular there lol I listen to rap from so many different cultures 😂 and an opinion can be wrong if it disregards facts. Well at least it’s retarded, since you can’t use a dictionary: @DoctorChristian
I don't hate it. I actually like some of it, but I like there to be a vocal that I can understand what the rapper is saying. Sometimes I have to look up lyrics before I understand because they rap faster than I can talk or listen. I don't really hate any genre of music.
I get that. To me they make perfect sense but I know, depending on the region you’re from, you might not understand anything 😂 I used to work at a call center and people from the south or Midwest never understood me because I talk really fast. 🤷♀️ Some people can’t keep up with the speed lol @Fungirlmmm
i hate rap as in it annoys me to listen to it after about five minutes i have to leave get away or i become vexed but i don't hate in a judgemental way if other want to listen to it. the only other music that affects me this way is opera
Morbid wouldn't you be highly opposed to rap music that is derogatory to women? Ashley Judd called it "the contemporary soundtrack of misogyny." Yeah I know not all rap music is like that. Just that as a whole, it's known to have a high amount of it, as well as other disturbing content.
I admit it I tend to feel uneasy with it. But Actually one of my best memories in a night club is dancing with an amazing girl to a rap song, a clean one though and up beat.
