I Am Sad

When the good times are gone, and the things that once mattered so much to you slowly begin to fade and will possibly become a distant memory... do you know what you would fall back on to give yourself strength? :/

Virtual Reality gaming, I'd say.

Yep, games are one of my outlets too but sometimes I need a quicker distraction 🤔

A quicker distraction, get 'Osu!' and some fast paced songs you like; that will definitely distract you pretty quick.

I know that the correct answer is God but he's been pretty silent when times get tough. Death, job loss, divorce, illness, loss of a child, breakups, accidents, storm damage... I've had some if all of them. Friends, family, and neighbors have done more for me than any church. Music and journalling ate next. Being active helps but I think helping others is the best.

I am so sorry to hear that :'( I have tried to find faith in God despite me being unsure of my beliefs but when it comes to my kind of issues, I don't think I would be helped as I am yet to find faith. I agree that friends and family could come a long way. :) I also agree that helping others helps, I volunteer and it helps me forget about my troubles.

Strategic substance use.

Not my kind of method personally XD

@LittleRebz: It can be really efficient and non-dangerous if you do it properly and use harmless or relatively harmless substances. I don't just mean typical drugs. Also herbs and such, like Valerian root, Kava Kava, and other stuff. Just those can be a good supplement for if/when you freak out or get super depressed. And other stronger herbs. 5HTP, multi-vitamin, ginkgo biloba: other vitamins and amino acids. Stuff like that, also.

If you're looking for means, then working out is also good. Keeping yourself healthy is important when you feel weak; and the endorphins are a good stress reliever. Keep your neurochemicals healthy. And I guess working towards obtaining good times again, but not expecting it.

Learning to accept what you cannot change and change the things you can. And to always keep moving forward towards goals, because if you're moving, you don't need to find the strength, you just need to automatically pull it out for your goals.

@ColdPenguin: Thanks for the reply :) I have had multi-vitamins before. I will look into the other stuff you mentioned. What if you don't know whether or not if the thing you want to change, can be changed? :/

some good weed helps now and then ! 😕 maybe with a glass of wine !

@grandaddypurple: It is an illegal drug where I am from XD So I avoid it. :) I am a bit innocent when it comes to things like this haha! I never even drink to the point where I get drunk. The only bad thing I do to help me in tough times is to eat junk and drink caffeine 😅 I am a bit weird lol!

That's assuming one has those positive experiences in the first place.
