I Like History

Clan Life,

I'm going to throw out a hypothesis here. Humans are best in clans and tribes like it used to be. Growing up in a tight knit community where you are forced to depend on one another forces people to shape up, be loyal, and what comes with it is closeness, love, and happiness for the most part. It also allows people to grow up in the same culture where everyone understands one another and what is expected of them. People are like minded, shared interest, shared beliefs. This makes it much easier to be happy and feel a connection.

The problem in the world now is we are just one big melting pot where every culture from every background is mixing with every other. It's bringing so much dysfunctional families and communities. Throw in some capitalism, greed, and self-interest and everyone is just fighting to survive alone in this crazy world. There is a major loss of connection because of being misunderstood. Everyone is having unique experiences growing up making all sorts of different people. Then you have all this addictive technology overriding millennia of evolutionary instinct and needs and it makes it even worse.

Is there an answer to protect cultural identities and diversity in the world and have nationalism, but still have globalism and learn from one another which is why diversity is important. Or is this situation just impossible until we all become a monoculture?
