I Want to Know What You Are Doing This Weekend

Today will be a very interesting day for me, because I'm meeting up with my childhood best friend at a bar about a 15 minute drive from my house, after not having seen him since 2015. Years ago, we had a really bad spat and parted ways, leaving the road between us rocky for awhile.

Some time later, I didn't think he would ever be a part of my life again. Then somebody that both he and I used to love watching on YouTube passed away very suddenly and recently. This particular YouTuber happened to have bad blood with a lot of people and I found out that a lot of those people were very regretful in the wake of his death that they did not attempt to resolve things better with him.

And as soon as I discovered that, I realized that for the sake of my and other people's health, it would be best to make peace and (if not become friends with them) get on the best possible terms with as many folks from my past as possible that I had grievances and falling-outs with.

One of the first was my childhood best friend. I'm hoping it goes well, because the last time he saw me in person, he didn't seem that interested in talking to me (which he claimed was just nervousness and not wanting to take the risk of offending me, but I'm skeptical).
