I Am Bipolar

Im feeling stable for the first time in a few weeks. Had to go back onto an antipsychotic. I am grateful to be a person living with mental illness that cares about other people and involved in my own self care. I am so happy to be in a place in my life where im happier experiencing stable moods as opposed to being addicted to the emotional highs and lows like i use to be. My interpersonal relationships are thriving now and so much more meaningful. Anyways I'm rambling thanks for listening.

I went on psych meds for 18 months, found the side effects awful. Paranoid jitters from the uppers, grey muddles, unable to feel, which left me unable to write. Quitting them cold turkey was a nightmare, 12 days of no sleep.

I'm glad they're working for you.

@DanielChristenseni can't write on meds either. Im like a floodgate of epiphanies with writing when unmedicated.

Atleast your self aware, my mother is a schizophrenic and truly believes she is right and everyone else is crazy

@somethingIsuppose yeah. It's not uncommon sadly! Ive had schizophrenic and bipolar friends who have had this same attitude and i had to let them go. Its hard if it's your own parent though. I can relate a little because my mom is addicted to clonazepam and in denial. Its ruined our relationship. Its painful to have to love a parent at a distance.
