I Am In Love
I have a question for those in this group. How do you know you're in love? I think I might be in love with my SD but I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure he at least likes me, maybe he loves me. My gut tells me he does, but who knows.

@SDFORME I suppose you have seen the movie [i]Klute[/i], a really riveting film about a pay-for-play down on her luck actress and her difficult romance with a detective investigating a series of murders. It's a great film to watch, though it has a few creepy scenes. It is very sympathetic to the heroine and her struggles with people and relationships. Watch it if you haven't.

SD? Not sure what that is. You really like this person, maybe even feeling you could love him...what does it matter whether you are "in love"? Ideally, you want to take time to know a person, then decide if he fits into your life in some way, perhaps as a friend or casual dating person. The concept of "in love" is not really a very good one; it implies that strong feelings of attraction are an indication of something important, or that the stronger and more intense your feelings are, the stronger and better the relationship will be. Most strong attractions are not anything that good or important and most relationships do not last. Just decide to judge the totality of the situation and the person as you get to know him more, rather than probbing your own feelings to decide whether you are "in love."

@greenmountaingal I like your casual approach. SD is essentially a Sugar daddy, hence the 'relationship' was strictly business at first. It's funny when I'm with him I don't think about this stuff, but when I'm away from him I do. I think I want to know why he has such a profound effect on me. An effect I find quite scary to be honest.
