For others who like to tend the grill themselves perhaps...

Came across a fabulous alternative 馃檪

Given enough space who you make use of it?
FreerangerM
Wowzer that's a lot of briquets!! Couldn't help but notice the chair seat motif. Looks like something a welder could put together maybe.馃槈
FreerangerM
@Trippy would that make it Pot Rock? Enquiring minds may want to know...
TrippyF
@Freeranger 馃槀.... You need to have your people contact his people.... Possible cookbook in the works .
FreerangerM
@Trippy actually, I think I "need" to go outside. It's too nice to be inside. You get it.馃槝

Looks like a good setup but smoke in my face while sitting there is not a good thing for me.
TrippyF
@cherokeepatti Indeed... You put all these together Ms. Patti you'd have quite a popular back yard 馃槏
cherokeepatti61-69, F
@Trippy I think food tastes better when it鈥檚 cooked outdoors over a wood fire. We had a little wood stove my aunt put outside and we鈥檇 cook over that. In the summer I鈥檇 make my breakfast out there and heat up some beans, they tasted really good cooked over a wood fire.
TrippyF
@cherokeepatti I agree!! Something about the heat wood radiates and the smoke. I held a can of beans over a small fire with a curling iron once. Ts

Not like that. Grills need to close, like an oven, for things like chicken legs to cook through in less than an hour.

I have cooked on our Weber Genesis, which was abandoned to the ex, and smoke comes off the grill and hits you in the eyes. Sometimes when you open the grill hood it fries the tiny invisible hairs on your arms.

I can see doing kebabs on this grill table, or sashimi, or even cut chicken satay...but it is not really versatile enough for me.
Great idea! For backyard parties. Freeing the host from tracking individual tastes, rare, medium rare, etc.

Not unlike the Japanese tradition of Yakiniku. Where table guest prepare their bbq portions on a grill in the center.
@Trippy Exactly, similar to the fondue concept. A nice way to bond.
Apparently at some restaurants, you also share communal pots of stew or dumplings, of which there are strict etiquette rules.
TrippyF
@SethGreene531 Humph.... Very cool. Yeah the whole concept of that do your own grill just seemed very interactive to me. Preparing the party... becoming the party itself 馃檪
@Trippy I get that yes. Having guests involved in the hosting seems to bring new life to a party. It's energy is sustained rather than fizzling half way through.鈽猴笍

No im the cook everybody else shut the fuck up and sit down
TheRascallyOne31-35, M
@Trippy I can't help it
TrippyF
@TheRascallyOne All good. I'm shakin' up the next beer you ask for however 馃き

@Trippy My kind of Lady
Fascinating .... and practical!!!

Love it ... great share!
@Trippy I have space to install that
TrippyF
@questionWeaver Awesome!! Certainly is a whopper in terms of space many would allocate for grill 馃檪
@Trippy it is very clever
EuphoricTurtle41-45, M
How hot must it be under that table?
I can't imagine it being co.fortable to sit in front of a fire during a summer day.
TrippyF
@EuphoricTurtle I gotta agree. Like the one factor that stood out 馃 Perhaps better for chilly out campfire' esqu shindigs.
IngweF
for those lazy peeps in the family who do nothing but eat ...force them to do something
TrippyF
@Ingwe Haha... Here's your crap! Cook it! 馃槀
SledgeHammer46-50, M
It's almost like a Benihana Grill
TrippyF
@SledgeHammer Indeed. Each person gets the opportunity to show off they're own flippin' skills 馃檪
SledgeHammer46-50, M
@Trippy it really is an interesting grill!
I LOVE IT!
TrippyF
@SledgeHammer Definitely different that's for sure.
JimboSaturn51-55, M
I never have that many people at my house.
TrippyF
@JimboSaturn Me either!! I'd still engage in a spatula flickin' raw meat war with who ever showed up 馃槑
JimboSaturn51-55, M
@Trippy but that's just common sense! :P
JoyfulSilence46-50, M
It might be too hot!
TrippyF
@JoyfulSilence Perhaps... uncertain how it vents heat. 馃 Epic fail if indeed all in the photo were only sitting as the picture was taken 馃
JoyfulSilence46-50, M
@Trippy It would be good for after dark, though. And make it so all the light comes from the central fire or heap of coals. And if you need more, use candles.
TrippyF
@JoyfulSilence I agree 馃檪
That's amazing, in 5 years i would LOVE one!!
TrippyF
@SomebodyThatYouUsedToKnow Hell Yeah!! Just looks fun to me 馃檪鉂わ笍
Zaphod4246-50, M
Korean bbq, American style 馃い
TrippyF
@Zaphod42 Haha... Westernized Teppanyaki cooking at its best
FreeSpirit151-55, F
I like it
TrippyF
@FreeSpirit1 Me too 馃檪
btchstfuF

Gril, yes
TrippyF
@btchstfu Wow... Like an episode of Pimp My Grill! 馃槀

As long as you rub my breasts in marinate.
Bushmanoz56-60, M
lol...looks very social.
Bushmanoz56-60, M
@Trippy here stick is arc welding
TrippyF
@Bushmanoz Technically perhaps. In terms both Tig and Arc welding both fuse a rod or ' stick" in the weld itself. One produces a clear arc...one is consumed by it.
Bushmanoz56-60, M
@Trippy Would you know a decent tig welder if you saw the specs? I have watched numerous videos but they all recommend American welders, and I need to find an Aussie equivalent.
