I Wish I Knew Then What I Know Now

It’s actually the opposite.... I am kind of glad I didn’t know, because I would not have had the ecstasy, the euphoria, the other-worldly joy that I experienced. It was truly beautiful in the days and weeks that it happened, in the burgeoning bliss of love, like flowers pushing through the wet welcoming soil of spring. I wanted what we had. My soul opened in surrender. Now I see you. There are fragments of my former feelings. There are crumbs of what we had. But for now, I will leave them on the shelf on the floor in the past..... we are somewhere else in a parallel universe, kissing in the woods
