They're like children. Instead of attempting to change themselves or become more resilient or adaptive, they think it's easier to force everyone to adjust their behavior to suit their delicate sensibilities.

I'm a Democratic Socialist and a far leftist, but the more and more crazy these guys on the left get, the more I get pushed right on social issues.

More PC insanity. The world is a noisy place. We can't silence it, remove every possible offending element, and wrap it up in a bow for a few snowflakes. People who can't deal with normal life need to get some therapy.

@AbbeyRhode I agree mostly, life isn't school and we need to be tempered through experience. 👏

Eh, kinda sensible when you consider the fact that they only want to do it specifically at student union events, have provided a suitable alternative (jazz hands), and are motivated specifically by the effect clapping can have on students with disabilities. They're just tryin' to make student life less shitty for people with autism and stuff.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
@BlueVeins I could maybe see the reasoning for the autism part actually. 👏

@BlueVeins a few people have it bad so let's make it bad for all?
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Nanori More like, a few people have it bad so let's make it alright for them. Doing jazz hands instead of clapping is hardly a mortal sacrifice; in fact, I would consider it kinda fun.

I'm glad I'm going to be dead in thirty years.

The world is going to be seriously fucked up place by then..
I feel sorry for the toddlers who are going to grow up in this robotic environment where everyone is the same and independent thought is unknown..

Take with a large pinch of salt anything the Daily Mail reports.

They like their readership outraged.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
@Picklebobble2 I heard about this a while ago actually, might be a re-hash. Daily mails actually not too bad, its their framing which is often irresponsible. 👏
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Picklebobble2 LOL, or a fucking brick of salt.
SomeAreBoojums · 51-55, M
@Picklebobble2 I heard about a guy who worked for the Daily Mail . . . he wanted to be a paperback writer
Sometimes I wonder how these people even manage to get out of bed in the morning. Well I supposed you can add this to the dry British way of life - so lets give a standing "Jazz Hands" to Nigel Coventon Wellington Hornsby III -.
