Do you feel tragic incidents like the Florida nightclub shooting are too easily forgotten? [I Am Curious]

We’ve had so many incidents of gatherings being the place of attacks for armed predators to take their victims lives.

From nightclubs to concerts to movie theaters and even schools.

What are your takes on the Florida Nightclub incident concerning Omar Mateen?

The FBI knew he was a danger. He tried to buy guns before the incident. The gun store owner refused the sale and called the FBI to tell them he seemed like he was up to something. The FBI said there was not enough evidence. Omar then purchased the gun illegally elsewhere.

Our government ignores this because it allows for an agenda to be rammed through, whether on terrorism or gun control. I believe a lot of these incidents are known and allowed to occur.
@CompTrain82 Perhaps.

@Seventeen Actually it is worse they I thought. The FBI was observing him for 10 months!!!

Now that biden is in office and the socialists want gun control, expect more ...just like when obama was in office

@BigAssLeech Obama had 162 mass shootings on his watch ( murders) , Trumps 4 years had very few if any mass shootings. The media would have been all over it.

@TexChik Murders aren't the same as mass shootings. I have no idea what numbers you're looking at, considering literally every other source (including nonprofit organizations dedicated solely to researching mass shootings) say the complete opposite.
@TexChik That simply isn't true.

I haven't forgotten it, nor the Ariana Grande concert bombing, and the killings in France too.

Um I guess there's a lot to take. Do you ask cause people keep doing gatherings? We're always gonna do that, we're social creatures and try to have fun, even me who's not exactly happy go lucky and often a wallflower.
@IHateMyLife0MeDie I’m asking questions on why they seem to get away with so much? What, if anything, could have been done to prevent such tragedies?

And what psychological aspects take place in the minds of the individuals who prey upon their fellow humans?

Unfortunately there's always another violent event around the corner. I think that's largely why we seem to move on quickly. Just anticipating the next one
@BigAssLeech This is too sad to think about.

It's not so much that they're easily forgotten...there are just too many to remember now.
Especially when you live in a city that's got a high crime rate too.
