I Appreciate the Little Things In Life
Yesterday, my coworkers made a unanimous decision that I'm a chaotic good. I don't know why it is, but when they told me about that I think it made me feel the happiest I've been in a while, and it made my twelve hour shift go by in a breeze
Most days, I clock in at 7:45am with one other employee. There is no earlier shift. My remaining coworkers come in at 8, 9:30, and 10. If I'm ever scheduled to come in at a later hour than normal, when I walk into the store everyone yells hello at me and tell me they missed me
Two of my coworkers were joking around about starting a band about the store we work in. About how the 8am album (the first album) will be a relatively upbeat, happy album. The 2pm album will communicate exhaustion and irritability. Listeners will be left to wonder what happens before 2pm, what broke the artists spirits? That's when we release the 11am album which is just blatant chaos and rage
They'll release songs about training and customer service. Each song will be titled one of the catphrases I use. In particular: No Worries, Five Stars Man, and No Tomatoes? No Problem!
I'm not going to be working with these lovely coworkers as much for the next few weeks. One of my managers is too stressed, so I'm taking over her schedule and will be working with the nightcrew more often. The nightcrew are highschoolers, and have very little work ethic since this job is for a little extra spending money, not to pay bills like the morning crew.
This means for the next few weeks I'm going to be nagging people to do their job, and to do it well. I'm not letting them leave the store until their job is 100% done. Partially because we're training a lot of new people so we can fire the ones who I'm constantly needing to nag, and I want the new hires to learn how to properly do their job
