I Lost a Friend

A seemingly happenstance meeting (though my mind wants to believe it was more).
I miss who I use to be, and when I saw her I could feel him clawing at the darkness that has swallowed him, screaming to be heard.

Not near enough was spoken between us, and more was hinted at being spoken in the future. And so now I am left to ponder what was true, if we will speak again, if the magic I once felt has any chance in this world.
