I Want New Friends Who Will Be Like Family To Me

Ever since I was three, I've always wanted to do for people. The whole world is my friend. Ever since the ripe young age, I have wanted the world as my friend. It is unfortunate that few Americans feel that way. I go up and try to make conversation, nothing deep, just a bit of friendly chit chat, and they look at me as if I were the plague or something. This pierces a huge hole in my heart. The least they can do is to say, "yes" and nod at me instead of being so rude as to not respond in any way.
On EP, it was a great delight for me to hear back from people I commented to or messaged. It proves they are interested in what I have to say and in what I feel.

Yes, I realize that "hunkalove." It has taken most of my adulthood to realize and accept it as the norm. Even harder to accept is the rejection, which I take personally. I have learned to not take it that way, though.
I do now accept it and talk to fewer people. I live in South Carolina where the majority of the people are good ol' southern folk. I am more careful about talking to strangers now, though.
Yes, "carissimi", I understand it too, but like I said, it has taken me a while to accept that fact, that's all. I love all people. I realize that it will take time for them to love me back and am willing to wait. I have had some very special "family" type friends turn on me suddenly and refuse to tell me why.
Again, I have come to accept such cold and closed people and don't force my sweet friendship on anyone. As a result of my distancing myself more, I have found a nice circle of friends.
Take care now, the both of you and I wish you only the very best that life has to offer.

Most Americans are so lost in a world of fear and hate they are scared to death of anything new and different.

If you are walking up to strangers to make conversation, I can understand their reluctance.

Such anti-Americanism, I'm seeing here. I wonder where you are from?
