I Am Not An Atheist

I was reading some quotes by an atheist one of which was : “Limiting the rights and freedoms of others in order to make them abide by your standards. That's a sin.”
This misguided gentleman apparently had forgotten that during the 20th century a regime governed by atheism limited the rights and freedoms of 250 million people in order to make them abide by the standards of the regime. People who didn’t abide by the standards of the regime will put in prison camps and many were murdered - around 35 million in peace time alone. Ah the benefits of atheism! Why didn’t this guy mention that?

That was not done because of Atheism itself, religion was taken out of the picture so that the regime is the only authority and nothing else can influence the chain of command. You're doing the same thing that you're complaining about, cherry picking an instance to support your side only to get points.
