I was taught at 4 y/o (& not by my parents but my dad's best friend)
"Never say never i.e I'll never do... again". If you're really sincere about what you'd say you'd never do again say "I won't do (fill in the blank) that again. Never is a powerful word, & hard to back up.

@Nobody00 I really learned that lesson after telling my mother over & over "I'll never get married, I don't want to be tied down. My mom passed in '84 & I was married in ' 87. Got that point driven home when I was divorced in '89, bish took me for almost every thing I had.
