I Love Star Trek

@smileylovesgaming They have no idea of, nor respect for canon. It's just a lot of flashing lights with very little substance. We've already seen glimpses and know a little of Spock's early life, and there was none of this crap in it, and certainly no Michael Burnham.

The show doesn't even have the feel of Trek to me.

It's fine that a few other people like it, but it's not for me and now never will be again, unless they reveal this is an alternate universe, then I MIGHT just accept it's existance.

Hell, it was bad enough what Abrahms did to the main timeline in the films 🙄

I honestly don't think these writers have bothered looking at ANY previous iterations of the show. 🙄

@smileylovesgaming A lot of things they have claimed are being produced have been put back a couple of years as Discovery is not receiving the viewership they were hoping for.

I had read that Picard was on this list of 'delayed' shows, but it's possible they are going to forge ahead with it anyway.

I've also read that this is not going to be the Picard that we knew in TNG as in essence the timeline has changed because of the Kelvin event.

Abrams effectively wiped out all the good continuity and only left the crappy stuff, lol... Great move.

@Quizzical of course they don't have a huge rantings. It's just on CBS all access I. Think. A lot of people don't want to have to pay for another site. But This is moving into the future with more original shows then sharing with other site's

@smileylovesgaming Star Trek is a series about ideas. The movies are all about action and 'splosions and the like, with rarely any room for ideas. Trying to make Captain Pickard an action hero just didn't work well. The Kelvin universe movies just had mostly the 'splosions and none of the ideas. Discovery is such a welcome change — just brilliantly done.
