I Love Handwritten Letters

Does anyone write letters anymore? As in handwritten in pen, on paper, sealed in an envelope and stamped? Receiving a letter was like getting a small gift in my mailbox. Someone took the time out of his or her day to think of me, sit down, and craft a little slice of company for me. I, in turn, did the same. Even had a fountain pen I would use on my good paper to write to a select few. Are those days gone for good?

I know technology has taken over. It would be nice to send and receive something tangible now and then.

You are very right! Technology has taken over - and this in a form that some people almost don´t know more how to write by hand or they´ve forgotten the correct form of writing. (Example: H r u? :-( )
You are right, it´s like a gift to receive a handwritten letter - it´s very personally. But because technology has taken over I´ve lost many years ago my last penpal. :-(
