I Love Handwritten Letters

Does anyone write letters anymore? As in handwritten in pen, on paper, sealed in an envelope and stamped? Receiving a letter was like getting a small gift in my mailbox. Someone took the time out of his or her day to think of me, sit down, and craft a little slice of company for me. I, in turn, did the same. Even had a fountain pen I would use on my good paper to write to a select few. Are those days gone for good?

I know technology has taken over. It would be nice to send and receive something tangible now and then.

I've been wanting a pen pal for years! Of course, I'd be too scared to give out my address so I'll never do it. But handwritten letters are better than the internet because you're holding something in your hand that you know the other person has touched and it feels more real.

Exactly. It was touched by hands, the words were crafted, and the author took the time to invest in its recipient. E-mails just cannot compare. To click fwd and send along, a machine can do that.

You could always get a post office box so your address is secure:)
