I Have a Question

If a married woman loved you like a brother or sister in Christ, and really felt love for you and wanted to give you the occassional hug, and put her hand on your shoulder, and to share a part of her being with you, not romantically but like a true friend, how would you feel? But she made it clear she didn't want you developing romantic feelings for her either, just platonic non romantic love.

I'm a guy and I have a TON of women friends at church... some are even married. We pray together, talk, and yes, give each other a hug with NOTHING impure or sexual going on. We're brothers and sisters in Christ.

@Theosis: Maybe that's the only place I can have this Christian brotherly love too is at church. I just wanted it everywhere I went.

Well, we're all supposed to love one another as Christ love us.

@Theosis: Unfortunately I have made the mistake of confusing Christian love with romantic love with guy friends when I went to college, simple passing thoughts like whoa If I were single I'd marry him, or wishing to be touched in a gentle way, but God brought it to my attention that I still wasn't loving as Christ did. So I got to study how He loved, now that I know the difference between romantic love and brotherly love, now I want to know Christs love.

I would welcome that...I am aware and have connected with others on different levels. It is possible if you allow it.

No matter even that woman makes the guy his brother or have non romantic feelings for him. She would just experiment on him and extract the stuff and then kick him away after she is bored Its called using emotionally.

@Breadroll: that's sad

When it comes to opposite gender, I say you hide those feelings. You either fall in love with someone, or your their best wing-man ever. At this point, I'm sick of the "Oh but your like a brother to me". Apparently, I've got all kinds of brothers and sisters 😒.

Sure, why not?! but my dick might get hard unintentionally, and not ramtically, just a natural reflex, how would she feel?
saintsong · 41-45, F
@zobry: I would assume that it's the spirit of Jezebel.

I have one that kind of looks to me as a big brother I guess. It's a bit of an honor or feeling of pride that she has that kind of trust in me.

I would question why it is even an issue unless she was grooming you for physical intimacy.
asnorkler · 70-79, M
I'd be flattered and have had a few platonic relationships over time.

I'd like that. I have 1 married woman that we are like that.

I would take the hug without hesitation and welcome the friendship

I'd be ok with that
