I Have a Question

why did someone call me from a jail in nyc last night on my tracfone? i dont know anyone in jail there, i used to live in nyc so i recognized the area code, it said if i didnt want to accept the collect call to hang up so i did, anyone else get these calls? and why would they call, any ideas?

Well actually Heard about a scam where the person calling will try to get you to say yes and hang up they use that yes for something illegal and I believe you get charged for it because you said yes, So it was a good thing you said no, Okay the operator did say they were calling from a jail but how do you know that people can lie about anything.

Actually if you still have the number on your phone if you are calling from a landline press *67and dial the number and see if it was actually the jail if you are using your cell block your number so they do not see your number and call it. Actually google the number or do reverse look up and the net will tell you where the number coming from or post it here and I will check for you just for fun.

I got one last week from a jail in Bellevue, Washington. I think it is a scam to bill you and me for money and then the scammers get a percentage from the phone company.
