I Have a Question

tell me your definition of feminism apart from male-hating?
mountainguy · 51-55, M
Not sure what you're looking for, but I always subscribed to the old adage that feminism was "the radical idea that women are people too." That is to say, treat a woman as the golden rule dictates: the way you'd want to be treated if you were her. If I were a woman I'd want equal pay for equal work, the right to control my body, the right to feel safe in public, the right to be taken seriously for my ideas/achievements, the right to control my sexuality, etc. So that's how a feminist of any gender should treat people.

@mountainguy Thank you. Good definition.

Well it was for women to have the same rights as men. But feminism isn't about hating males. I think of feminism as wanting equality for both genders.

It has nothing to do with man hating or demasculating. I'm first wave feminist, equal pay for equal work. That's it.

Women have equal opportunity. Which they do. End of story.
