I Have a Question

Is it worth it to have a knee implant? ive had two hip implants 6 yrs ago and they really helped me a lot, the surgeon that did them was supposed to do a partial one but i moved away and saw someone else who did a bilateral release instead, being that i had arthritis in that knee the surgery didnt help, now i cant work cause of it, im sore 24/7 and my doctor sent me to an ortho doctor and she gave me a cortisone shot and said if it didnt work to make an appt with a surgeon, so im seeing one on tuesday, my ortho said she'd probably do a full implant so i dont have to come back to finish the job, so is it worth it?

Yes! If it improves your quality of life !!!!

I had the full implant 10 years ago, and it has been great! I play golf, walk without pain, do everything except run. My sister had the partial replacement, and it did not do well. I know those are only two data points, but my next knee replacement (next year) will be another full one.
