I Love Track And Field

Nothing quite like a glorious summers day and the chance to catch a break from the hot stuffy classrooms and do a little running around the school grassy track. I love running around barefoot too, swear I’m a lot faster.

I got my fastest time for 200m when I forgot my trainers and had to run in bare feet 🙂 It's not so easy for long distance though.

There was an athlete called Zola Budd who competed in the 1984 olympics for Great Britain who ran bare foot .

@harveyrider Abebe Bikila of Ethiopia won the Olympic marathon in 1960 in Rome running barefoot.
