I didn't really find either memorable, though I think I found the second one preferable. To me the first just seemed long and drawn out, to make a point of it being a big-screen version.

You mean "The Changeling" remastered? Vger was Nomad, but with fancier special effects 😚

i   enjoyed  both … but  prefer  [c=#800000][b]"first contact"[/b][/c]  over  either  choice.
